THE BBC  The BBC was first formed on October the 18th, 1922 making it 96 years old  Lord Reith was a Scottish broadcasting executive who established independent public service broadcasting and was hired by the BBC as the general manager.  Radio 1 was launched on the 30th of September, 1967 BBC's 5 public purposes: (1) to provide impartial news and information to help people understand and engage with the world around them, (2) to support learning for people of all ages, (3) to show the most creative, highest quality and distinctive output and services, (4) to reflect, represent and serve the diverse communities of all the UK's nations and regions and support the creative economy across the UK and (5) to reflect the UK, its culture and values to the world. Types of music videos

Narrative based music videos The lyrics often reflect within the story. This is a video that shows a performance but also has a narrative within it. It often replicates a film genre. For example, Coldplay 'magic' by Jonus Akerlund. Performance based music videos This is performing an act which pressents the artist or band throughout the entire song for example, 'American Idiot' by Green Day. Concept based music videos Its based around a single idea or concept and are usually unusaul or obscure. A concept video will include unusual images or narratives to maintain audience engagement. For example, Arctic Monkeys 'Fluorescent Adolescent' Parody based music videos Involves changing or coppying already existing music ideas or lyrics, or copying the particular style of a composer or artist, or even a general style of music.
